The road not Taken

I grew up in Mexico. I lived there until I was seventeen years old. I was very young when left home. At that time, I knew a man who was older than I was and who was a teacher at that time.He had to go to work some place outside of the city. He proposed to me to marry him and to go with him to that place. Everything happened so fat that I got scared.On the other hand, I had the opportunity to come to the U.S I was also afraid of taking that road, but I decided to come to the United states. I'm glad because I have had the opportunity of learning English and of getting to know different places.

Love is very important in relationship, because love endures any problem you may have in life with the person you have chosen to live with.Also I think patience is very important ingredient to construct a beautiful family. If you give love to you family an the people you have around you and your family always will have happiness. Self-control give peace and Harmony in good relationship. Also have faithfulness in God, because with out him nothing is possible.

"Good relation ships"

Good relation Ships are very important for me especially with the family. I'm single mother.I'm have to work hard to give my children the support they need for their studies and life.Now they are successful persons. I'm proud of them, because they all prove to me that they are there for me too. We are all like friends. Havin good relationships is not only with your famyly but also with neighbors. At work, when you get along with coworkers,you always are happy to go to work, as well as at school or church, Union provides you tranquility and blessing

Difficult Illness.

My daughter was born with Spina Bifida. She 's been though a lot of surgeries. I was told that she was going to live for only a month. "Thank God" the Doctors were wrong. Now she's 30-years-old. trough those hears I almost become a nurse, because I had to take care of her. We have learn a lot, because those were different kinds of surgeries. the first thing we learned was to be patient. because it was a difficult time. At that time I was so sad because of her condition,now that she become a very undependable lady. She dosen't think that beeng in a wilcher mekes her differnt from other people.You'll be surprise how she handle her life .I'm proud of my daughter,and love her much.

Sopheap Ly

Sopheap Ly was five yars old when she and her family were taken from their comfortable home to the " killing fields." During the brutal khner Rouge regime there were at least 200,000 people executed in the Cambodian killing fields from 1975 to 1979 . At this time she spent four years working in the rice fields--14 hours a day, seven days a week. During that time Ly and her family, despite their had work, had little food.little shelter and no freedom.Trough the year she was a child slave. Her goal was to move to America. She wanted to become a doctor,it was her father's dream. She thought It will be mosible, when we in the U.S finaly arrive in America . She enroled in school when she finished high school, she went to Cal State Fullerton with the goal of earning a digree in biological science. Later she was accepted to medical school . She worked hard to achieve her goal and her father's dream.Now she is a Doctor.

"Labor Day Weekend"

This weedend is Labor Day . We honor workers on Labor Day.Many companies, Banks and Federal buildings do not open in honor of the holiday. My wekend was busy. I started by working in my garden on Saturday. I enjoy wording in the garden On Sunday I went out with my family to the park,we had a barbecue and had lots of fun. Right now I'm a house wife. I'm not working but of course having a job is very impotant. It give you self esteem.A good employee is a person who is responsible and reliable.Employers like good employees , because that's the only way their business will succeed in the future. I think not having a job is very sterssful,because it makes it hard to pay bills. It also makes it hard to go out places, because I dont have money. I like to work,because it feels nice to be needed and gives the opportunity to your your skills.

"Natural Dissters "

Natural disasters are those that are caused by Mother Nature, like the one we are experiencing in the Los Angeles Natural forest fire even though we are not sure of the cause of the fire. Two firefigters lost their lives , and lots of people lost their properties. Many children are not going ot school because it is not safe. Also we have lost the forest that helps clean the air.Others natural desasters are caused by earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and lightning fires. I personaly experienced the earthquake that hapend in the late 1980's.It was very scary . At first I didn't know what to do. I ran to get my children and ran out of the house. Natural disasters may happen any time . We need to be prepare and always have a plan for the family.
