Sopheap Ly
Sopheap Ly was five yars old when she and her family were taken from their comfortable home to the " killing fields." During the brutal khner Rouge regime there were at least 200,000 people executed in the Cambodian killing fields from 1975 to 1979 . At this time she spent four years working in the rice fields--14 hours a day, seven days a week. During that time Ly and her family, despite their had work, had little food.little shelter and no freedom.Trough the year she was a child slave. Her goal was to move to America. She wanted to become a doctor,it was her father's dream. She thought It will be mosible, when we in the U.S finaly arrive in America . She enroled in school when she finished high school, she went to Cal State Fullerton with the goal of earning a digree in biological science. Later she was accepted to medical school . She worked hard to achieve her goal and her father's dream.Now she is a Doctor.
